In order to get past that, install AutoHotKey which is free to download. The problem is that it disables "Controls" and "Display" buttons. So after installing when you try configuring the game from check.exe it will show you the error we talked about. But hey, we know we have pretty decent graphics card for the game so we will have to mimic the game to think it can run just fine on this graphics card. So, basically this error occurs because you are using a newer graphics card which is not supported by the game. Or possibly any other error code in Hardware FAILED then I could give you a few steps which will help you running everything smoothly and also allow you to adjust the video resolution and the controller settings.
